Hello December... let's make this Christmas count!

December 1st and much to do. Many gifts to make, buy, wrap... a tree to be decorated, lights & stockings to be hung, other decoations to put out... goodies to be baked, cards to be mailed, Santa to be visited... but what's really important? I am a "Christmasaholic" and often overindulge in the festivities in many ways (mainly shopping, decorating, and TV special-watching). But how should I be spending my time and resources? This video hit me between the eyes (or in the heart) today.

Here's the web link if you want to read more about Advent Conspiracy. I am challenging myself to make this Christmas count. Will you join me?

What a beautiful video. Thanks so much for sharing it.

The part about clean water really blew me away. I never realized the price to solve the problem was so (relatively) low.

In our family, December is the one we set aside and do something special together everyday. A lot of it is simple things like playing cards, board games, looking at lights or baking cookies - our boys look forward to advent like nothing else all year.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I couldn't find the original link I used to make my lightbox but his one is very close: http://www.ehow.com/how_2176308_economical-photo-light-box.html

Candace,

Thank you so much for sharing this video. At a time when I was worrying about how much left there was to do, to buy, to prepare for, it made all the difference to my perspective.

I promise to share it with others - along with the love.

Have a truly Merry Christmas! x
