Not that I am wishing away May (it's flying by fast enough on it's own), but I am very excited for June. Why? Because I am priviledged to be the Unity Stamp Company's guest designer! The June KOTM is on it's way and I can't wait to start creating with it! I mean, come one, how cute is this first sneak peak?
So stay tuned and I'll have some fun Unity for you on Monday! Oh, and don't forget to keep checking the Unity Blog for more sneak peeks!

Loose Ends for May
May is flying by and I haven't even had a chance to do half of the projects I've been planning. Celebrated my birthday (see layout below if you want to know my age... grrrr) and Mother's Day the same week. Seth made me a lovely pendant from a stone he found while mining for gems on a field trip this year. Kent gave me "Photoshop Elements for Dummies" and I am looking forward to using it and FINALLY doing something with PSE7, which he gave me for Christmas!
For this layout, I used the Vintage Plum May kit, Unity stamps (from Birdie Inspiration and the Plaid Journal Box). I was inspired by a challenge from the class I'm taking at Get It Scrapped, Doris Sander's Product Pizzazz 102; we were to use "dressed chipboard" and eyelets (see the stars? when's the last time you used eyelets?).
Busy week for Tessa (and me, her "room Mom"). She "graduated" from Kindergarten at our church preschool on Tuesday and was evaluated for Jones Kindergarten the same day. Her last day of school is tomorrow and we are both feeling somewhat sad... she's been at Lawndale Children's Learning Center since she was 11 months old! I feel a layout coming on (right after I finish the cards for her teachers and the director).
And even though I don't think he ever reads my blog, I'd like to wish a belated happy anniversary to my dear husband, Kent. We've been married 14 years yesterday. Love you, Honey!

I'm so excited!
I am thrilled and honored to have won the Unity Guest Designer contest this weekend! Friday, we (and that means anyone with an April KOTM who wanted to participate) were given a sketch by Jennifer Buck and had until Saturday evening to complete cards and layouts, and post them over at Splitcoast Stampers. My layout, "Oh, she sewed" won! You can see it in my post below. I will have the honor of being the June Guest Designer and I am so excited!
In the meantime, you really need to check out the May KOTM (kit of the month). It's adorable and I have a few projects in mind for it already.
There are also some Unity First Birthday/Anniversary challenges still going on this week (they were posted last week and they are due this week)! You can see them in the Unity Forum at Splitcoast. If you have some Unity, ink it up and come play!

Celebrating National Scrapbook Day...
I scrapped quite a bit this week and yesterday. Creating projects for Unity's contests this week as well as NSD. I'm such a "spread it out everywhere" messy scrapper (my poor family... well, the kids prefer eating on a blanket on the floor in the living room)!
Today, I worshipped, rested, read the newspaper, played, and did a little laundry. Tomorrow, Teacher Appreciation Week begins and I'll be busy at Seth's school almost all week. Might be able to scrap or create a few more projects... hope so!
Happy May, my favorite month (wonder why? I get to celebrate my birthday, Mother's Day and our wedding anniversary, lol)!
